About Thomas
Thomas van der Burg (1995) is a Dutch film and media composer who is known for his melodic, emotional, and optimistic style. He began his musical training at the Rockacademie in Tilburg, where he studied from 2014 to 2018. During this time he was an intern for Los Angeles-based composer Joep Sporck, assisting him on the feature film Sinterklaas en het Gouden Hoefijzer.
In 2022, he composed the score for Dutch actor Martin van Waardenberg’s film “Ome Cor” which premiered on december 12th in Rotterdam. In addition to his work in film and television, Thomas has also been involved in creating music for multiple production library albums.
His compositions are known for their intricate orchestrations and modern flair. Whether working on a feature film or a production library album, he brings a unique and dynamic touch to every project he works on.
